Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic therapy that encourages the movement of lymph—a clear fluid responsible for removing waste, excess fluid, and cellular debris through the body’s natural detox pathways. When lymph flow slows due to stress, surgery, inflammation, or everyday stagnation, MLD helps restore balance using precise, wave-like strokes that clear the body’s drainage routes.
This treatment reduces swelling, puffiness, and water retention while supporting immune and hormonal function. It can also ease discomfort after surgery or injury and promote smoother digestion and lighter movement throughout the body. The technique itself is deeply relaxing, often bringing the nervous system into a meditative state while leaving you feeling clearer, lighter, and more at ease. Regular MLD sessions can help you recover faster, support your immune health, and maintain a feeling of calm flow from the inside out.
What a Treatment Looks Like
Unlike deep massage, MLD uses very light, rhythmic, wave-like strokes that work in harmony with your body’s natural rhythm. The movements are soothing and precise, stimulating lymphatic flow without pressure, often leaving clients in a meditative, deeply relaxed state. Because lymph nodes are concentrated in areas such as the abdomen, inner thighs, and underarms, these areas may be included in treatment. You will always remain appropriately draped, with sensitive areas covered at all times, and techniques are performed with the utmost professionalism and care.

Contraindications
MLD is safe for most people, but there are situations where it is not recommended:
• Post-Operative Clients – Treatments should only begin once incisions are fully healed and cleared by your surgeon.
• Botox or Fillers – Wait at least six weeks before receiving MLD on treated areas.
• Autoimmune Conditions – Avoid during flare-ups; book only when stable or with your physician’s approval.
• Infections, blood clots, uncontrolled heart or kidney issues – MLD is contraindicated until cleared by a medical professional.
